Hi, I’m Hillary! Welcome to my blog.

I live in North Carolina with my wife, Kate. I love God, family, equal rights, farmers’ markets, Mexican food, a good bargain, feminism, flowers, library books, pumpkin, road trips, stargazing, big hugs, pretty things, singing loudly, NPR, sunshine, towns with character, the color pink, New England, oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies, freckles, tree-lined streets, a good stretch, iced coffee, gardening, board games, sea scallops, snowshoeing, being a morning person, sea glass, heart-to-hearts, bacon, organization, ripe peaches, belly laughs, cooking, and Ball jars.
I loathe cottage cheese, bad drivers, chemical-laden products and produce, pickles, calling customer service representatives, being late, going to the post office, and pessimism.
This blog is a chronicle of our life in the South and my journey to see the blessings around me while living a simpler and more intentional life.
I hope you’ll follow along!
